ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional customer service. Follow through on all customer questions and requests.
- Understand why our products are different than conventional stores, and be able to communicate the differences to customers.
- Ensure that food and beverage (coffee and tea) quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet all company standards.
- Sample department products to customers and department associates.
- Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.
- Properly package and wrap products for retail sale. Ensure all items are labeled, dated, covered and rotated.
- Maintain department supplies and ensure all cases, floors, and shelves are clean and well-stocked.
- Maintain sanitation conditions in the department, comply with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Document product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
- Help cross-merchandise product with other departments.
- Accept and process product from receiver.
- Apply store policies regarding cash handling and cash register operation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Successful experience working in a retail or hospitality environment with progressive increased responsibility.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from other managers, store managers, vendors & customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong basic math skills including the ability to add, multiply, divide, subtract and calculate percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems.
Physical Demands:
The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and tasks like bending, stooping, climbing, and using tools. Frequent repetitive movements and use of stairs are necessary. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to temperature variations, wet conditions, and uneven surfaces. Tasks may require reaching above and below shoulder height, using a ladder, and navigating slick surfaces. Team lifts are required for items over 40 lbs.
